4DQuiz dashboard widget is designed for 4D developers to search 4D command syntax and details in no time. This widget searches a remote SQL database of all the commands available in 4th Dimension database language and display in the dashboard. Every search listing is linked to a more detailed information web page about that search listing which can be a command, a technote, a sample database, a component and/or a plugin. In future widget will a have customised version which can cache the results for offline users. While user is online search for say "process" and then click on one item say "PROCESS HTML TAGS" and widget will launch web browser with detailed information about PROCESS HTML TAGS. In future it will be improved to include a little detailed view of the command/keyword dynamically. Download it now and try yourself today. An administrator web page will be available for developers to add listing in the search for a given keyword. This mechanism will make sure database search is up to date and immediately relevant to the keywords. Users will be able to contribute notes and samples from their experience. A component will be provided for developer to fetch code snippets from 4DQuiz scripts database repository.

4DQuiz dashboard widget makes a http client request using AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) call to developer-source.org webservers serving requests for keyword searches. Please see illustration on the right hand side. Server is running Redhat Linux with PHP, MySQL, Qmail and backup software to make sure it can handle high volume of traffic efficiently.
